When Other Christians Become Catholic
Fr. Paul Turner will be leading a workshop for the Archdiocese of Detroit in March 2009.
Many may be familiar with Fr. Paul’s extensive writings including:
The Catechumenate Answer Book

The Catholic Wedding Answer Book
Let Us Pray: A Guide to the Rubrics of Sunday Mass
and the many Bulletin Inserts for Ministry and Liturgy
Fr. Turner has recently written When Other Christians Become Catholic and Celebrating Initiation: A Guide for Priests. The RCIA Committee has invited Fr. Turner to conduct a workshop for RCIA Teams addressing the issues he covers in When Other Christians Become Catholic. Our hope is that the many concerns and questions about how other Christians are brought into Full Communion with the Catholic Church will become clearer in this workshop. We have scheduled the workshop as follows to give as many as possible, the opportunity to avail themselves of this opportunity:
March 10th, 2009………..6:30 – 9:30 PM………..at Sacred Heart Major Seminary
March 11th, 2009………..9 AM – Noon…………at Sacred Heart Major Seminary
The RCIA Committee is also working with the Office for Clergy Life and Ministry to invite Fr. Turner to have a conversation with priests of the archdiocese on this topic during his visit to Detroit.
This workshop will be the equivalent of Topic 7 in the certification process.

The Office of Evangelization will be offering a day in the Men’s Conference this year on the Sacraments of Initiation.
